We will start this tour by picking you up at the lobby of your hotel in Panajachel or Santa Cruz La Laguna. If your hotel is in Panajachel, we will go to Santa Cruz La Laguna town to start our walking tour through the other towns: Santa Cruz, El Jaibalito, Tzununa, and San Juan.
The town of Santa Cruz is full of nature. On the shores of the lake, there are many luxurious hotels, beautiful nature reserves, restaurants, and lovely handicrafts that reflect the colors and culture of this place.
The Town of Jaibalito has beautiful landscapes of the lake. You can breathe fresh air and take great photos. Throughout the tour, you will be accompanied by our local guide, who will be happy to give you all the details about the beautiful cultures of the lake and its colorful towns.
Finally, we will arrive at Tzununá, an extremely beautiful and little-visited town. Keep enjoying the walk and learn more about this charming town.
The last town we will visit is San Juan La Laguna. We will take a collective boat and, it will take us approximately 30 minutes to arrive. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Upon reaching San Juan, we will walk through its main streets and visit the most colorful spots. This town is full of color and is characterized by the fact that many of its inhabitants are artists and make paints that reflect their worldview (the Mayan Cosmovision) and their culture. This town will welcome us so that we can learn more about chocolate, the natural dyeing process of textiles, and Mayan honey. Get ready to continue enjoying. This is the place where we will enjoy lunch. You will have 1 free hour for that.
The last point on our itinerary will be to take you back to your hotel. To take you back to Panajachel or Santa Cruz, where your hotel is located, we will need to take another collective boat. Enjoy the sparkling waters of the most beautiful lake. Thanks for traveling with us.
