Wear sturdy shoes, long-sleeved shirt, and long pants for hiking, and bring water shoes and a swimsuit for the river tubing. Bring a camera, insect repellent, sunscreen, and plenty of water. Birders should bring binoculars as the Jaguar preserve rain forest is quite dense. Bringing a change of clothing is recommended as you are likely to work up a good sweat.
Fitness level required: low to strenuous, depending upon the specific trail to be explored.
Take advantage of the chance to wander through the forest, see wildlife in its natural setting, and swim in a waterfall-filled natural pool. It will be our pleasure to assist you in making memorable experiences.
Our base price is for groups of 3 or more. Prices are automatically adjusted based on couples or solo travelers.
We will depart from Placencia. Professional and trained staff will be with you at all times.
It was founded in 1986 and is the only jaguar refuge in the world. In addition to safeguarding the Jaguar, this site also guards other types of wildlife, including howler monkeys, pumas, ocelots, and jaguarundi. There are numerous plants at this location that are both beautiful and essential to the environment. Tropical flora, unusual insects, reptiles, and stunning birds of all types will all be visible to us. Jaguars were used by the Mayans to symbolize a god that could easily travel between the worlds of the living and the dead. This majestic beast stood for power and strength as well. The waterfalls, swimming in them, wildlife viewing, nature hikes, river tubing, and bird watching are a few of this natural site's key draws. You'll adore it for sure. During our excursion, we'll stroll along clearly marked pathways surrounded by lovely vegetation in hopes of spotting some of the local wildlife, such as birds and monkeys.
At the end of the day, we'll return to Placencia.
