Itinerary

We pick up passengers from most hotels in Antigua Guatemala.   The ride to Lake Atitlán is full of pretty little towns along the road, you will see how the scenarios change from the city to agriculture, and stunning views until you get to the lake.   So sit back and enjoy the drive.

Once we arrive in Panajachel, a boat will be waiting for us to start our way to San Juan La Laguna. That is one of the most picturesque towns around the lake. You will fall in love with its culture and everything that you will learn about Mayan textiles, chocolate, natural medicine, and more.

Visit San Juan La Laguna, a vibrant lakeside town rich in Mayan heritage. Explore the ancestral art of natural fabric dyeing, a fascinating medicinal herbs garden, and a fine artisanal chocolate factory. Learn directly from the locals, who proudly share their knowledge and traditions, offering a deep insight into Mayan textiles, natural medicine, and chocolate making. An authentic cultural experience.

Take a quick visit to San Pedro La Laguna, a lively town renowned for its vibrant, youthful atmosphere and popularity among travelers from around the world. Known as the "hippie town," it’s a hub for fun, culture, and laid-back vibes by the lake!

Our final stop is Santiago Atitlán, one of the most colorful and tradition-rich towns around Lake Atitlán. Immerse yourself in the vibrant living Mayan culture and observe their daily lives up close.

Built between 1939 and 1943 to be the National Palace or house of the government, was declared Historic, Cultural and Artistic Patrimony of Guatemala in November 1980 and it is now open to the public as a museum, an art gallery for permanent and temporary exhibits. The ballroom and other big areas within the palace are used now to celebrate official ceremonies, like the signing of Guatemala's historic Peace Accords, held on December 28, 1986.

At the end of our tour, we will take you safely back to your hotel. You can take advantage of this time to relax or take a nap if you wish. Our professional team will be in charge of making the way back as smooth as possible. Enjoy!
