On the first night, our guests are warmly welcomed into the local host family’s home. A night pickup ensures a heartfelt introduction, setting the tone for a genuine cultural exchange.

Delight in traditional Guatemalan dishes, lovingly prepared by the hosting family for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For the next three days, mornings come alive with vibrant Spanish classes from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Afterward, lunch with the family creates cherished bonds.

In the afternoons, prepare for captivating tours. Experience local highlights, from chocolate-making to immersing in the heart of Agua Volcano with a local farmer and his family. Also, discover the mystique of native customs with a dynamic women’s cooperative.

Note: Meals are available from Monday to Saturday. The bathroom is a shared space. This experience lasts 4 nights and 4 days.

DAY 1: Meet your hosting family in San Juan del Obispo

Get ready for an amazing 4-day, 4-night adventure that kicks off with a pick-up from your hotel or designated meeting point in Antigua Guatemala. Our journey will take us on a brief, under-15-minute drive to the charming neighboring town of San Juan del Obispo.

Brace yourself for a warm welcome from your eagerly awaiting host family. We'll introduce you to your hosts, give you a peek at your cozy room, and unveil the communal spaces where memories will be made. And that's just the start – hold onto your excitement because the next day kicks off with invigorating Spanish classes at 8:00 am. Be prepared to embark on a journey of cultural immersion and language discovery.

DAY 2: Spanish Classes & Artisanal Chocolate Workshop

After a delightful breakfast with your host family, get ready to dive into personalized Spanish lessons at our specialized school, catering to language enthusiasts from around the globe. From 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, you'll be engaged in enriching classes that will open doors to linguistic mastery. Following your morning of learning, relish a satisfying lunch in the warm company of your host family in their cozy abode. This is your prime chance to put your newfound knowledge into practice and immerse yourself wholly in the language and culture. Let's go to a chocolate workshop! Delve into the captivating journey of crafting an array of chocolate products, from seed to finished masterpiece. Dive into the art of roasting cocoa seeds, peeling, grinding, and crafting a cup of 100% handmade hot chocolate. Led by skilled artisans from the community of San Juan del Obispo, this workshop is a fully immersive experience. DAY 3: Spanish Classes + Get into the life of a farmer in the foothills of Agua Volcano

Wake up surrounded by tranquility in the village of San Juan del Obispo and enjoy breakfast with your host family. Then, our English teachers will be eagerly waiting for you to continue our learning adventure.

After finishing the Spanish lessons, you'll have lunch at your host family's home, and then we'll head to the foothills of Volcán de Agua, where we will immerse ourselves in the life of a farmer.

Walk along the trails until you reach the farming area of our local friend. He will guide you through the cultivation process of various crops, including the famous níspero fruit that distinguishes San Juan del Obispo from other villages. You'll also have the chance to meet his family, interact with them, and enjoy a little snack together. We're confident that you will cherish this experience and keep it in your heart forever.

DAY 4: Spanish Classes + Mayan Women Cooperative

After waking up from a night of rest, you will have breakfast with your host family, giving you the chance to continue practicing your Spanish and creating beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

Your teachers will be eagerly waiting to continue guiding you through a new session from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

You'll delight your taste buds with another authentic Guatemalan dish, and after lunch, we'll head to a charming destination. We're talking about a cooperative of indigenous women who will warmly introduce you to their culture.

You'll witness a welcoming folk dance, learn about the creation of their indigenous clothing, discover how they naturally dye textiles using what nature provides, and savor the delicious dish called Pepián.

After concluding this engaging activity with the Maya women's cooperative, we'll return to San Juan del Obispo for your dinner and well-deserved rest.

DAY 5: Last day of the adventure

On the final day of our Spanish and cultural adventure, you will have breakfast with your host family and bid them farewell. We will gladly take you to Antigua Guatemala, either to a hotel you've reserved or to the destination of your choice.
