Embark on an unforgettable journey through the enchanting region of Las Verapaces.
Day 1 begins with a scenic drive from Guatemala City to Ram Tzul Natural Reserve. Continue exploring at Orquigonia, where a kaleidoscope of orchids awaits amidst the misty clouds. Snap photos and marvel at the beauty of over 400 species of orchids in this enchanting sanctuary. Conclude the day with a captivating city tour of Coban, steeped in rich history and culture.
On Day 2, venture deeper into the heart of Las Verapaces as you journey to the natural wonderland of Semuc Champey. Dive into the mesmerizing turquoise pools. Then, delve into the depths of Kanba Caves and embark on an exhilarating underground adventure.
Day 3 brings a final dose of excitement as we get to Ranchitos del Quetzal. Join a local guide for a birdwatching expedition before delving into the fascinating history of sugar production at the Sugar Mill Museum.
Please note that the meal times mentioned in the itinerary serve as placeholders for scheduled stops during the tour. However, kindly be informed that meals are not included in the package, except for the lunch on day 2.

GUATEMALA CITY
To start the day, we'll pick you up from your hotel and move over to the north-central region of Guatemala. The day will start at 6:00 am but on the way to our destiny, you can take a nap and relax on the bus. We will make a stop to have breakfast in a restaurant on the road. Enjoy the road and the beautiful landscapes.
Our first stop is at a Natural reserve for our national bird “El Quetzal”, to learn about the beauty and natural impact of this mesmerizing bird with long feathers of vibrant colors.
After our visit to Ranchitos del Quetzal, we´ll go to an orchid sanctuary located in the cloud forest. Here you will find around 400 species of orchids and learn about them passing through 9 interactive stations. Take pictures and enjoy your time here.
Driving through the mountainous humid forest you'll have awesome green landscapes, after lunch we’ll visit one of the main cities of the region: Cobán, learn the daily practices of this Mayan community with an afternoon city tour.
At the end of our day, we´ll drive to get to our hotel. Enjoy the hotel amenities and relax before taking dinner. Then, rest and get ready for the second day of this adventure in Las Verapaces.
SAN CRISTOBAL VERAPAZ
Wake up surrounded by nature, birds chirping, and fresh air. This day we'll start early in the morning to start our journey to the Natural Heritage of Semuc Champey. We´ll spend 2 hours on the road to get to the restaurant where we´ll enjoy a tasteful breakfast and gain the energy we´ll need for the day. Take a nap or appreciate the wonderful landscapes.
We´ll change transportation to a 4WD vehicle in Lanquin in order to get to Semuc Champey and enjoy the day in this Natural Paradise.
We'll spend the whole day here, enjoy the hike up to get to the viewpoint of the turquoise natural pools, then swim, and have fun. After lunch, we'll discover a complex of nearby caves called Kanba Caves and explore the inside of the earth gates. We´ll enjoy a lunch box.
A 4WD vehicle will be waiting for us to take us from Semuc Champey to Lanquín. From Lanquín we´ll depart to the hotel, you´ll have free time to relax at the pool and the rest of the hotel amenities. Then we´ll have dinner and get ready for the last day of the tour.
LANQUIN
On the last day, we'll take breakfast at the hotel and get ready to return to the city. Lunch and comfort stops will be on the route. We´ll leave you safe and sound back at your hotel in Guatemala City.
