This secluded paradise is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax in nature. The tour will begin when we pick you up at the lobby or motor lobby of your hotel in Placencia. Then, our tour guide will take you to the boat pier where a power boat will be waiting for us.
Bring your most comfortable beach clothing and your sunglasses and delight in the beautifulness of the Caribbean paradise. The boat ride will take between 45-60 minutes.
We would also suggest bringing motion sickness remedies in case you are sensible.
The Laughingbird Caye is a 1.4-acre island surrounded by crystal clear waters and is home to a variety of marine life. Visitors can snorkel or dive in the waters around the island to experience the magnificent beauty of the underwater world.
The name of the island was given by the Laughing Gulls that used to occupy the island. Since the human presence increased, the bird moved to other islands with no human presence.
The Laughingbird Caye has been a National Park since 1991. It is part of the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, which is a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.
It is ideal if you can take a camera or an underwater go pro with you if you want to capture beautiful moments and memories in photos.
Besides appreciating wildlife, you will also have the chance to completely disconnect from the routine and unwind while you relax on the sand beach, lay on a chair, take a nap listening to the ocean waves, tan, eat at a rustic table, bring a book, and just relax.
You will enjoy a delicious lunch on the island and taste Caribbean cuisine.
While you eat, you could also have the chance to see the Melodious Blackbird, Green Heron, Brown Pelicans, Conch, and many more.
After an entire day on the island, we will return to Placencia on a placid boat ride.
