We´ll pick you up in your hotel lobby in Cobán and take you to the Quetzal Sanctuary, called Ranchitos del Quetzal. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy the road and the beautiful views.
In this lush cloud forest, the Quetzal isn’t the only resident... Embark on a guided tour through Ranchitos del Quetzal with an expert local birdwatcher, where you’ll journey through the misty woods in search of Guatemala’s national bird, the stunning Quetzal. Along the way, you’ll also encounter a variety of other birds, amphibians, and unique plant species that call this vibrant ecosystem home. Listen to the symphony of nature, marvel at the rich greenery, and with a bit of luck, catch a glimpse of the Quetzal's breathtaking red and green plumage.
During our way back to your hotel, you have the chance to relax and take a nap, or maybe you prefer to take photos of the marvelous landscapes of Las Verapaces... you choose, the time is yours.
