After the 90 minutes road trip, we´ll get to The National Park of Lanquin Caves on the North East side of Guatemala.

The National Park was created in 1995 and is very close to the Natural Paradise of Semuc Champey. Guatemala is mainly populated by native Mayan people and this region is inhabited by the Mayan Q´ueqchi´ ethnic who believe that the Lanquin Caves are a sacred place. This was used to perform Mayan ceremonies in the past and even nowadays are still used for that purpose from time to time. For the Mayans, the entrance to the infraworld is the caves. This is the perfect chance to visit a mystical place with little afflux of people and experience a different activity that not all people dares doing.
