Your experience begins with a convenient hotel pickup in Guatemala City, covering the main districts in Zones 9 and 10. From there, we’ll head to our first stop, the Museo del Ferrocarril, where a 20-30 minute drive will take us back in time to explore Guatemala’s railway history.
Our first stop is the Museo del Ferrocarril, a historic train station from the 1800s. Here, you'll learn about vintage locomotives and the workers who kept the railway alive. Some say the spirits of past conductors still roam the tracks, with eerie whispers and unexplained footsteps at night. This museum is a mix of history and mystery, making it the perfect place to start our journey into Guatemala’s most fascinating legends. After soaking in the ghostly tales, we'll continue to our next stop for more thrilling stories!
We'll make a panoramic stop at the National History Museum, a grand building holding artifacts from Guatemala’s past, mainly from the 1821 independence era. Though we won’t enter, you’ll hear fascinating stories about its relics and the eerie legends surrounding it. As we admire the museum from the outside, you’ll get a glimpse into Guatemala’s rich history—both real and supernatural.
We’ll visit Cerrito del Carmen, one of the city's oldest and most intriguing spots. This peaceful park is home to a historic hermitage and countless eerie legends. Locals whisper about El Sombrerón, a tiny man with a huge hat who lures women into the afterlife, and La Siguanaba, a ghostly figure seen wandering at night. But the most famous tale is of Pie de Lana, a cunning thief compared to Robin Hood. At the very place where he met his fate.
The National Palace of Culture, built in 1942 by one of Guatemala’s most renowned presidents, is an architectural masterpiece and a symbol of the country’s history. Located in the heart of the Historic Center, it offers stunning views of the Metropolitan Cathedral, dating back to the 1800s, and the iconic fountain in Constitution Plaza. Many believe ghostly figures roam the corridors at night, making this landmark not only a cultural gem but also a hotspot for paranormal tales.
At the end of the Legends panoramic tour, we'll head to Cadejo Brewing Company in Zone 10, one of the best spots for craft beer in the city. Here, you'll enjoy the lively atmosphere of this renowned bar while sipping on two unique craft beers from "El Cadejo", a local brewery inspired by one of Guatemala's most famous legends. This is the perfect way to conclude your tour—combining Guatemala’s eerie folklore with its vibrant craft beer culture, making for an unforgettable experience!
