Guatemala is full of hidden paradises that are only visited by true free souls seeking peace, calmness, and a getaway from everything. In this experience, we will be taking a 30-minute flight to the western highlands of Huehuetenango. Along the ride, you’ll feel how the roads feel small before the majesty of the green mountains, so sit tight and take in all the beautiful natural and cultural landscapes waiting for you. Arriving at our destination we’ll find the mysticism of the Laguna Brava (Wild Lagoon) secret crystal-clear water with pure fresh air. Embark our boat ride to discover the north side of the Lagoon where you’ll be amazed by 3 beautiful blue, green and turquoise Cenotes, we’ll snorkel all of them and just relax in nature.

GUATEMALA CITY
The day will start early in the morning. We´ll pick you up at the lobby of your hotel and take a short ride to La Aurora International Airport. We are going to take a short 40 minutes flight to the northwest Department of Huehuetenango.
After getting out of the airport we´ll pick up some breakfast boxes to enjoy during the road. After landing we'll move to the Highlands of the region and then change transportation to a 4WD vehicle. The ride to the woods and rivers´ borders is a full dirt road with incredible views of the green mountains and small Cenotes. Lunch will be taken on the road.
Arriving at the nature border we'll start a 1- hour hike through turquoise rivers until we get to “Wild Lagoon”. This will be a country style adventure. Sleep in a cabaña and eat local traditional food.
LAGUNA BRAVA
In the first hour of the morning, we are going to enjoy breakfast. After the meal, we will start our hike to visit 3 giant Cenotes, snorkel them and enjoy the calmness that only mother nature can provide. Enjoy your free time, then we´ll enjoy the boat ride to the south side of the lagoon and during the evening we are going to enjoy the beautiful lagoon views and finish the day with a wood fire.
LAGUNA BRAVA
Wake up with a mesmerizing view of the Wild Lagoon with its wonderful turquoise colors. Breakfast will be taken prior to lifting the camp and then we´ll start our journey back to Guatemala City.
In order to get back to the airport of Huehuetenango, we´ll need to change vehicles from a 4WD to a minibus. Then enjoy the landscapes of the road.
A delicious lunch will be waiting for you at this point and we´ll get ready to take the plane to return to Guatemala City. The flight will be short, just 40 minutes.
After arriving at La Aurora Airport, a bus pilot from our staff will be waiting for you. We will leave you safe and sound back to your hotel in Guatemala City.
