We will drop you at the airport at 6:00 AM in the morning as your flight will leave at 8:00 AM. If you could take some snacks with you, it would be great so you don't go hungry.

Your flight tickets will be sent to you via email and once you get to Xela, our tour guide will be waiting for you already.

At this point, you will be arriving at Xela! We hope you fall in love with the city as much as we are.

Once you get out of the airport, our tour guide and the bus driver will be waiting for you to take you to the first stop of the tour, Museo Casa Botran.

They will take you to a nice restaurant to have breakfast and start this adventure. Bon apetit!

Nowadays, besides this being the Rum Factory, it is also a museum where the history, rums, and their process of elaboration, are displayed to the world.

This rum is one of the best in the world for different factors:

1. Virgin sugar cane honey is used for its production. Only 3% of rums in the world use it, so as you can imagine, this is a world-class premium rum

2. The rum ages at 2,300 meters above sea level following the Soler aging system

3. The cold weather of the highlands helps the aging process to be slow and the rum to have better attributes

After our sensory experience at the rum museum, we will go to downtown Xela. We will discover the gems of the city accompanied by an expert tour guide that will be delighted to show you every iconic place of the city in a fun and entertaining walking tour.

Some of the best ways to discover a city are by walking in its streets and getting to know its people, culture, and traditions. And that is exactly what we will do.

Some of the places that we will visit are Parque Centroamerica, the Cathedral, the Minerva Temple, the municipal theater, and more!

The adventure of day 1 will end with the city walking tour. We will show you all the places you can visit later by yourself as Paseo Enriquez, a colonial-style food court in downtown Xela, among other places that are interesting and worth visiting on your own.

Remember that flights from Guatemala City to Xela and vice versa operate 3 days a week only: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. So, you will have some free time in Xela before returning to the city.
